True Blessings

True Blessings

 Thru every tragic moment
there must be a blissful end.
Hanging onto Christ and each other
is the only way to mend.

I reach for you all chaotic days
not every day do I get your touch.
I trust in God, His truth in us-
That you’re about to bless me so much.

Your touch from your sweet loving hands
makes my body shiver in delight.
Knowing that our love is strong
makes me allow no room to fight.

You are my everything thru ups and downs
You are my bright light in every moment of dim
 When focused on our precious love for Christ;
I KNOW we've achieved ALL true blessings from HIM.

Thru all of this, I DO LOVE YOU Christian C Siebens
Love,
Hetty Siebens

Differences to Love

We all have dreams, goals, desires. But we all have to put into perspective- HE is the ONE with OUR plans. So as we may pray earnestly for one particular need, want, desire-- they just may not be in God's deck of cards, so to say, for us. No... those plans of ours aren't in there-because HIS plans out-number the stars He made, for us!! No matter what we pray for-it just might not be HIS way to get us to where He wants us-walking tightly side by side.
My husband and I have the hardest time finding a common between us- in order to share extra time we have, together. It has gotten tougher over the years due to my illnesses making anything mobile to athletic usually out of our deck of cards. I was however blessed with a new talent- when they removed the larger portion of my left, dominant side of my brain-it was enough to make my right side... the artistic side come alive. The side that was never able to paint a thing before now does multiple crafts, and I just love it!! Downside to that- that is not my husbands gift. All his desires are much more physical in motion-and my body has just been thru so much, it is still in healing mode from being in utter pain for over two tragic years.
I am a drama movie person, if I am ever really up to watching a movie. He loves TV. I personally cannot stand it at all. Haven't truly watched TV since my first marriage back in 96'. That was the end of any desire to watch television. I had never sat to view TV with anyone as extremely ADHD as my ex. He couldn't even get his attention off the Windex commercial- just enthralled!! So since then, TV has been out of my life. It is just a burn of the brain anyway-and I don't have as much as the normal person anyway.
I personally love music. I know all the words-I know the song that is coming on from the first two beats. I guess perhaps it comes from my brain issues- you can still gain blessings from complications. But music means so much to my heart, mind, soul. But my hubby really only began to like music today as an adult when we got together. And he still is one who hears the tune, but doesn't often listen to the lyrics. So to him, it's all just cool beats. Where to me the songs mean something deep.
My life as a young child thru teen years was being a gymnast. And a competitive one at that. One that would stick it hard on the balance beam, no matter how bad my ankle hurt. One thrilled for vault, even though I had just had an absence seizure. Those NEVER got in my way then. But with pregnancy later in life-my seizures changed. And I no longer had that aura/warning to stop whatever I was doing to be safe during the seizure spell to come. Now they usually just hit me. That is what makes many things a bit more complicated-not counting the fact my body feels like it's 135 today, not 35.
But I will say this... we have a couple really rad commons we just always have to focus keeping our hearts in and eyes on-- and that is our awesome faith in Christ-which brought this amazing marriage together. Who blessed us with our special child-who is an amazing gift from Christ. All three of us love our Lord with all our hearts, minds, souls, strengths. And if we let that slip, for too much TV or art- than we will begin to slip at everything... including the reason for each other as ONE thru Him!!
I am one very blessed soul-even thru loss of many gifts I had, things I used to love to do but can't since this last brain surgery or how medication can make me feel. But I can kiss my baby girl goodnight-remembering our lifetime history and lifetime future to come. I am able to remember to kissy  my husband goodnight, even if he has already totally conked out. Watch him come in from running, pouring down sweat-and able to show him what I painted while he was out doing something my body just can't do anymore. Not now at least. I enjoy painting things for him. It makes my heart feel so warm and loving. I always pray he feels the same receiving.
So we may have many differences. I may Facebook msg him a billion times more-but he is getting back to it. I may make a ton of things for him-Lord, he may be sick of it all-but he is sweet enough to rave on about it. I may not be athletic-past gymnast anymore; now just dealing with pain of osteoporosis-even being 9 yrs younger than him. But our love is the most amazing common Jesus blessed us with. One that on my side will never cease- no matter what our differences may be. I always pray he feels the same. Even with sick cause me. He has such loving patience. I pray he is always filled with amazing love... that is the best common we could be blessed with.
I love you dear Christian... thru all differences.

In His Grip,

Heather

Know Love

Don't we all seem to have specific types we "hang" with?? Types we always seen perfect to connect to. Such as my hubby for me. We seem to balance each other out... One is loud mouth, other more introverted. One seems very very loving-the other seems to be a cat, on their terms. One is sorry about whatever right away-the other needs space to get all straight with Jesus. But that one doesn't require "I'm sorries" as where the other does along with praises. So we even out pretty darn well.
But those are opposites.... Ever been a friend with someone where all you do is butt heads?? Argue?? Can't ever see eye to eye?? Yet you cannot seem to humble yourself for this particular person??... No matter how many times you dive into James and read where we are to watch our tongues..? I can with particular personalities... But with others.... I am just waiting for them to light up as "incorrect!!"
I am not saying I am some evil doer... not that I am often one "excited" to place someone in there right place. But I am just being truthful--that I am human-and am not perfect like Jesus. My heart tries to be in the right place, but fails.
But the most amazing part of life-is Jesus still loves me and accepts me, with all my faults. And He blessed me with a husband who is so much the same in that category. I have struggled, and do struggle with illnesses, so when he is out of town for business-my more dark side comes out, trying to deal with everything without him. Then it becomes a harsh circle round of me asking him if he really enjoys leaving at my bodies weakest point--as if he really knows that. But the devil plays with our minds, having us feel like we need to blame our loved ones for complications in our lives. That isn't the case--Christ has us together for one reason or another-or many. It isn't His plan to have us point at one another or assuming the worst of situations due to our own complications. Most of the time He allows complications to enter our lives to help strengthen us-help us hold onto Him, and love our loved ones for all they do thru it all-recognize it all and not just the parts we feel are missing. Jesus will help us stand thru it all-no matter how much pain we may be in. His love will help south that until our loved ones, who do everything they can in this world for us-are able to return and be the Godly spouse/loved one He has blessed us with-for so many reasons.
Plus, turn all these actions around FOR your loved ones.
My husband has helped me thru so much. And even on the tough brink of it all-during "why God's" or just my hubby having to be out of town at brutal health times-I can look back at all his love given during it all. What I took for granted. I can see him rushing home out of worried love for me-for us...and see his handsome, caring, loving face-rushing into the house several days early out of his extreme love and care for me. And I am just now seeing this, thru my eyes, yes-but more so thru my heart. And just makes me want to give that love back, and more.
Health issues are never fun for the patient. But I could never imagine being the beloved spouse-hanging on thru it all with I am sure-many questions to Christ. So, with all you all go thru-never forget to try to view yourself from your beloeved's eyes. A very tough road as well--as for they don't even know the feelings we get from any of our illnesses. All has to be imagined and prayed for.
And I love Christian Siebens for every prayer, hug, kiss, care, rush, comfort-all his love he gives every day- well, or unwell. He is a very unique human being--but one Christ blessed me with for so many reasons!! I am so grateful!!

God bless you all!!! Know you are loved!!

In His Love,

Heather

Titus 3:5 He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins and gave us new life through the Holy Spirit.

I FOLLOW YOU, YOU follow me...

That is a song from Genesis. I turn it to I FOLLOW YOU (Christ) YOU (Christ) follow me!!
His site for Facebook or twitter etc would be wide open for all to be friends and FOLLOW HIM--and He would always "Follow" back--meaning connecting!!
I swore after all the stuff I went thru, been going thru, am going thru-will go thru... the way He has everything so well knit and planned made me swear-that even before I knew Him-He was "following" me. Meaning, my whole life was there thru everything I never knew til later that He was.
My marriage (1st one of two--this one is forever!!) back in 1996 turned into many disasters. It was also the first time I'd ever heard of Jesus. When I did, and how presented was very harsh and not the way to convert anyone. First major words out of my ex's mouth was how much more He loved this Jesus. I never would have understood it back then, so it stabbed me. Not long after-I tried to figure a tiny bit out by going to church with him. But many things hurt while there-but the top tear was when he cheated on me. This man shoves this "Jesus" stuff down my throat-I try to go to understand, then he pulls the top sin for marriage, and reason for divorce-even ok'd biblically to divorce.
We were back and forth in each others lives from then-never thinking it would last.
But God watched over me thru so much. When we split and I was dating other people-He called out to me in a physical way. On my way to see this man I had been dating, and just didn't feel "right" to me, I was on the 5 fwy and hit this HUGE bronco FULL tire-and it flattened my cute Tercels front left tire. I had to merge 4 lanes over and I landed perfectly in front of a call box!! (I had no cell phone back then) The people to help were out right away. And I was fine. I knew there was a God out there-I just still needed to find Him!! More off, I was thankful it all happened-cause when I wound up to see a boyfriend I was dating-yet knew it wasn't right-I saw why the tire blow out happened. God was saying "Don't go further!!" But I did. And reason why was he proposed to me. And I didn't feel the same. These are the ways God can talk to us, even when we don't know Him yet.
He also knew there was going to be action I was totally unaware of, but my heart didn't know that so He had to make it obvious. My husband then and I were having a very dusty, perplexed marriage. There was this ex of mine who kept calling me when we lived in Orange County-and wouldn't refrain. But my now ex and I thought we were in the clear when we moved to San Diego-but he knew how to find me as I always work for Marriott. So when he called me there-this is an ex boyfriend that shouldn't have been--mind you God was not in my personal heart in my thoughts. This man hurt me-he was married and I was back to my now ex husband trying to work things out then. I told him, I would meet up for lunch-to say good-bye, the "we" had to end. I got all dressed up pretty and had my music going. God wanted to intervene big time on this!! I was behind a very slow lady on the freeway... so I got over into the fast lane. This HUGE truck in front of me was hard to follow-could not see around him nor thru him-but was giving it some time to clear. But the big truck last minute swerved next to median and around what I had to eat: this HUGE bedliner flew out of the back of someones pick up and I had no choice but to drive into it-which threw wheels out of control and me into the median, then rolling the car 3 times landing upright. I was able to get out, brush glass off of me, wipe a small bloodspot-and see my left ring finger blow up-which made them cut my wedding ring off. I got sent to the hospital and broke my left finger-they had to cut my ring off!! Ok, what is God saying here!!?? Cause then I had to call people, one to come help me-I had no car and another to let them know that lunch wasn't happening. He was so angry at me. Little me in the hospital after all this, and I am yelled at. Well, come to find out-he had more plans in a hotel room than just a good-bye lunch. God, even when I didn't know Him-watched over me!!
Not too long after-about 10 mos-I went out with my now ex to eat, drink my first wine, and talk about our agreed upon divorce. All was really done smoothly, no fights. But a "one last time" night came about, and at that moment-I knew God had someone coming for me. Not into my life on the outside, but into my life on my inside! I was pregnant!!
We really tried working things out. But weren't seeing eye to eye. I have always had epilepsy. But was controlled for years. When I got pregnant, it flew out of control! And the neurologist I had to see was in AL of all states. And the one I got wasn't an epileptologist-obviously. As he kept increasing my hard medication til way past limit he should have ever gotten close to. We had a lot of family attacks there in AL due to my illness having been re-born and at a non-stop and scary rate. Change of seizures. A billion time change of meds. Then off to Phoenix to my family with my baby to find true care. I found that at Mayo Hospital.
I went forth into my 1st brain surgery--Lord was it ever painful. But if this would rid my seizures, I was ready. My now ex was able to come home on emergency military leave and help me with our kid then. And two months later, just getting well, he beat me. I was done with him. I was so hurt physically and mentally. Worse part of all-that scare and fear and anger clocked my brain back to that really high dose of phenobarbital. And I began overdosing on mentally straining days. From Dec of 2002- Oct 19, 2003 were my weak points-and if I could get more, or save up for that rainy day-I would pop a ton on several occasions. ER in 2002 was ugly-and amazing I am here. Today, this date but in 2003 was when I ingested a huge amount surpassing my level, and many others. They wanted me to go to an indoor rehab. I had to refuse-and my doctor supported me 100% due to circumstances. We tried taking me off of it-but I wound up having a HUGE grand mal seizure. Went back onto it in hopes mind was clear and getting thru the tough times I endured with my ex.
I had a lot of stress-with him, and my life moving forward. But my last BIG OD looking to exit occurred when he decided to deny he ever inflicted pain ON me, by beating me. Even though the Army-social service had to take pics and record everything-he wanted to deny it. Sent me more than thru the roof. I wound up ingesting an uncountable amount of that same medication-to the point where I needed to call on HIM. As for the whole year of 2003 I had been searching for and out this "Jesus" at an amazing church- Cornerstone Christian Fellowship. I had one very close friend that took me under her wing-but I was very skeptic of most everyone otherwise there. Who could I trust now?? But with all the amazing "signs" Jesus gave me that year-how could I doubt Him?? So on the gurney about to have the tube sent down to charcoal my stomach-I cried out for Jesus' love and to take me in as His here on earth-help me figure it out!! I went into coma-and a few days later after CPR even occurred to keep me here-I was so laid back and not a blabbing mess coming off that stuff. I told my neurologist we would cold turkey the phenobarb and start something new-cause I was NEW-following Christ. And did not want to turn back and try to take care of my booboo's myself-but to give it all to Him!!
I need to be on Phenobarbital. It isn't a desire or want, just a sad fact. I've tried it several times again-and I can't take it. I am mentally and physically abusive to it. So this led on to a 2nd brain surgery. This one was done with in depth electrodes in my brain to stimulate areas and see which ones look ok to take off, and mark those that you can't-too vital!! Took away my issues with a lot of memories that would snap me into seizures. Usually just a song, or beginning of a TV show or smells that would set me into major Deja Vu-then into a seizure. Glad that was gone!!
But a major setback occurred. Two medications worked for me, and I couldn't take either due to severe medical reasons. So we tried everything again-but decided that a 3rd brain surgery, done AWAKE would be wisest road.
All in all it truly was. So many country to country praying for me. And the surgery itself was amazing!! But quickly seizures came back along with excruciating pain that started in my left foot and quickly crawled up my body everywhere. It kept getting more severe-I never thought I'd make it thru--and had a LOT of "why God's" "where are you Jesus" and so on. I could usually see reason for everything as it was happening-but with this I just couldn't. It went on over two years with me to finally see how it worked in many lives, my life, my families life-and my big brother to find Him!!
I have many irritating illnesses I don't talk about, cause I know He will see me thru all. But many can be painful. My right kidney does not work and needs to be taken out sooner than later. Have stinging air in my salivary glands. TMJ always puts me in severe pain of the jaw and ear really bad. As extreme migraines come from that too.
I was also on my way to glaucoma-we thought we got me out in time... a medication was causing it. But the pain in my eyes can still be very debilitating.
I gratefully thought of a past medication I was on-that is good for helping my primidone kill my seizures, pulls excess fluid from my eyes and the pain in them, helps kidneys process right and more often!!! So my neuro and I are talking about bringing that one aboard again. After 2 more brain surgeries, I think I might just have a shot at it being great help!!
Jesus has plans thru all our strife and hard times. As we seek Him and Him only- He brings them alive in our life!! My life changed 110% with all He has done for me, thru me, around me, uplifting me... making me humble!! My daughter got a real dad at the end of my ex and I. She was our reason we ever got together in 3 months. But our marriage never lasted--and just had an awful break up. My kid is thrilled with the man Jesus placed in my life-and only knows Him, and Jesus as her Father. As for my ex stepped out long ago--and legally signed her over several years ago. Forever I am grateful God put that in his heart. As for Tory couldn't do the two dad's thing-with someone very mean to her mommy. I forgave him and let it go--Holy Spirit whispered that to me-and was the best thing I did in 2006!
Story is so long, yet so short in detail. But a very dear friend was curious why all the brain surgeries. Why? I needed Christ in my life-and if it meant almost losing mine with addiction after being beaten to find Him truly--then be it. Not a thing I would change. Just move forward with brighter sense and 10 yrs of utter love and many more to come for all our Father, my Lord, my God-Jesus Christ. His plans will never fail!!

Bless you all...

In Christ's Love,

Heather

A little visit

My brother came to visit with me this past week-and as I thought, turned out wonderful. We had a fall out a month or two ago-but we both go to our corners and get over it-then come back like nothing happened. For this I am so blessed!! This visit was a blessing!!
We had a different one tonight, just my husband Christian and I. I had a HUGE fall out with the pain clinic I have been having issues with since I started going there in February. But this took the cake!! They, without warning, cancelled my appointment saying I had to see my Primary Care doc. Well, with all brain surgeries and hospitalizations and it being a PPO-I have NEVER had to do this. So no warning and out of my prescription, they just asked me to get that appointment first. Now, the cute little nurse-actually not quite to that level yet, had no idea of disaster that was starting. Most would prescribe one to two patches until I get that doctor appointment-immediately. But instead tonight we had some entertaining to do. After the injection of a pain medication-to try to kill some of my pain-they made us wait 30 minutes to see how it helped etc. And my brain just remembers her feet coming toward me ready to have me sign, when I went into my complex seizure. I guess I scared her to death according to Christian. But came back out-upset as usual. So in order to let me leave, they injected me with Ativan to stop seizures, then the nurse was distraught and understood what WITHDRAWAL does to a seizure patient-and she was, after all that drama, able to prescribe the patch for me to wear for a few days-until we can straighten this fiasco out.
I am home. Jesus watched over us... and does each day. I know I will get thru all of this-and really look forward to the day I am off all this pain medication. It is unkind to seizure patients-and brings no joy like so many addicts think it will. Just shuts the brain off more than mine already is, from all 3 brain surgeries...
So that day of joy is coming. I just look forward to telling you all when it happens!
Til then, thank you precious Christian for taking great care of me--"There is no one like you!!!"

Bless you all!!

In His Arms,

Heather

Home

My precious family-my 2nd home
I don't enjoy any hospital stays-even at Mayo Hospital with the most amazing neurologist God brought to practice. I am very gracious for him. He has been like an uncle almost to me. Very caring of me, my life, health, circumstances that could cause seizures such as my ex beating me... and always been very caring of my daughter and who he knew as even my husband to be way back in 2002. He has skills most neuros don't have--true care. And I will be gracious to God forever more.
They decided to retry a medication at just a low dose I haven't been on since before my 2nd brain surgery. I had some bad reactions then-but I had a lot of pinned up stress that hadn't been "noticed" on my end until I looked back later in life. And it was due to the stress of no forgiveness to my ex I was going thru divorce with--for beating me. So maybe that pinned up stress I had back then, before my 2nd out of 3 brain surgeries caused the bad side effects on a high dose-we will try and see. Just know that the one that was great for me - for the most part- causes kidney pain in my bad kidney. All capsules kill my kidney-probably cause they open quicker than tablets. So all my meds have been changed to tablets-- we will see where God has me walking.
My neuro is very trustworthy and caring-and just saw in my face I missed my family. So he kindly asked if I was comfortable enough to go home today--I was so gracious for that offer of care!! It wasn't another brain surgery-just watching my seizures and my seizure active brain calm waaaay down by fourth morning. So I am home with my precious family that do truly love me and care about all that stress my brain and other health issues put them thru. But God knew what was going to be happening in my life-and prepped these two amazing soles on how to handle it with love, and not much stress. They do a fabulous job together and visiting me my dear husband Christian Siebens and daughter Tory Siebens.
My daughter has her own neurology doctor to see next week. And I know they are going to want to take her in for EEG video monitoring as well--the camera on us and recording our brain waves to see if and when they spike-what do we physically do? Was an amazing invention--very wise. I pray we can taper her off her medication. She has been doing perfect-and I don't want her in my shoes at my age. That is a daily big prayer of mine, personally. But God does have a purpose for everything. I've seen how all this has helped others find Jesus-my family helping others find Him while in the cafeteria there-or going up elevators etc..... He has a way to use us all--all for Him Glory, in many different ways. I know when I had friends having all my twitter/FB friends praying for my 3rd brain surgery--it helped people reach to Him also-or re-align their relationship with our Savior. So no matter what we go thru- you have to think twice how it can be affecting others-for His Glory. So we are to hang onto Him, our faith, and know His plans way out weigh our personal plans.
I know He has a reason for every thing. Great to change some medications- but I've also been talking to a dear friend of mine for a while about what she is selling. I am not one big on any pyramid sales- but she isn't like that. Sondra Verva just reaches out far and deep into peoples lives and what is effecting them, sits and visits with almost every single one-talking normal life talk Which helps lead to what is going on in the core of peoples lives-and what do they possibly need-natural from Jesus' day to help everything get back to "normal" or "naturally well." There are many issues medically with me--that it gets to a point I can't have additional brain surgeries after the 3rd one that was done awake... my kidney really will need to be taken out from being a bit of a struggling one my whole life-but years of medicine did not help. So I am, while still on my meds for now, going to give her products a go-and see the action over moths time. The headache ones were amazing-so I look forward to being a customer that is also a Christian friend of Sondra Verva in the company she sells for to help all illnesses see wellness.... company called doTerra  - look stuff up at www.everythingessential.me
https://www.facebook.com/doterra

I love you all and thank God for all your cares and prayers. Praying for you all as well.... He is the ONE that works all the wonders.....

In His Love,

Heather Siebens

For my precious hubby who is my guardian - I'd be yours too if you had these health issues-- still your guardian thru life! Love you Christian!!

2 Corinthians 4:8-10
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don't give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. Through suffering, these bodies of ours constantly share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.

Who is True, Who is Right?

Add to GoogleWho is true, who is right??

Jesus is my answer-
no questions for me now
nor later!

Who went thru life with very tough stuff? Who had such major challenges they never could see or imagine there was a Bright Light at the end of that rocky tunnel? And when that focus started-who started having more trials and complications that looked like no answer, no end? Who grew very bitter and either turned from that Bright Light completely-or refused to ever give faith in our Creator a chance to guide us His Way planned for us even before we were in our Mother's womb?? (Jer 1:4) ? Refusing after so much tragedy or losses, once, twice, or year after year-that thoughts were bitter. Grown ups childishly just angry with fists and doubts toward any God!! And as years went by of us "waiting for His providing" or just anger and dust toward the thought that God was around, or none of this bad stuff would happen!?? Loss of a loved one placing doubt HE could be REAL cause the loss was way too early in "our" plans.
We have all faced something like this, and there is not one perfect person beside Jesus, that is high up and deserves all perfect in their lives-no matter even if they are a tight knit family-with full force of faith that Christ has a "special" suffer-less life set for them. That just isn't how it goes.
What is awesome is all people will have to face suffering in one way or another. But there are amazing, beautiful reasons that if we don't grip onto our One and only God, our Creator-Jesus Christ, we aren't going to walk His road of plans for us that He has had from before our birth. The beautiful life He gave us choice to accept as He died on that cross so that we could live with Him forever-our Savior. How? We don't live a bitter life at every trial we are faced with. We don't shake our fists at "whatever god allows this isn't a true one." The how can I be sick my whole life...when we can open our eyes to very young ones who might not make it after he/she was just brought into this world. Young ones battling extreme cancer and hasn't been in this world long? Or let's drag me in... how can I be blessed with such a beautiful daughter, yet attacked with extreme worsening seizures? Why God would you have my 1st brain surgery seem to work, but I was beaten shortly after by my now ex-which caused me to continue to overdose on my Phenobarbital? Cool God, I didn't know You when he beat me-and it led me to run to find You-after I rejected You for 7 years. I found You-and before I hit coma You heard that call I had for You. I needed to have a billionth chance-for my baby girls sake. And You did hear that cry!! But why God would You continue my illnesses? Go thru a 2nd brain surgery-but no meds were working with that if refused Phenobarbital. Why the other illnesses in between all my brain issues? Then also my daughter that also was diagnosed with epilepsy? Why put my new, amazing, loving yet lack of illness knowledge hubby-dear Christian? And ok-let's move onto my 3rd brain surgery (done awake). I have NO idea how controlled my seizures would be or would have been had a snip of my brain that controlled the bodies feeling of pain-or how it controlled the bodies senses keeping it painless. Well God, that snip put me in a walker at age 35 (well ages 33-35) and constrained in my bed or couch due to such severe full body pain. Why did I have to endure that, and lose 2 years of the closeness I have with my daughter. Then it set my marriage rocky for sometime? Why bless me with amazing Christian if between his new job and my illness were going to have our marriage rocky out in Philly? And heck God, why ever did you have his job placed somewhere YOU knew would worsen the pain?? And now my kidney needs to come out and because of my intense seizures I've had--I have to go back to a drug I've been on for my intense seizures. The drug that has killed many people from aplastic anemia and liver damage. But hey-I've fought that illness before a couple times-just back there for what, Your entertainment to watch my faithful or faithless reaction?? You get to see these sufferings and most say " If there was really a God-He wouldn't allow all these illnesses and suffering. There is no point to bring us to earth just to torture, right?"
Wrong. Every little and BIG (all are same, just different ways people can handle) issue, trial, illness, sufferings all have an AMAZING purpose. Not just or only or even much do the trials have to do with the sufferer much. It has to do with how will it touch other non-Christian lives... or Christians that are hard hearted... or people who have never even heard about Christ and someone else's trial, when praying, walking tight, and not giving up-knowing Christ has a plan with it all...and these people will look at what they really aren't suffering as the other has been and yet still lives each day for HIS GLORY! Puts what they or loved ones have been facing-into perspective. That just maybe Christ isn't a vicious God-but One who loves all and wants all to give their pain, illnesses, worries, all issues to HIM!!! To accept Him as their One True God, to put Him first in their lives-as He takes the suffering you are enduring-and is able to still give you joy during it thru love, hope, faith, trust, comfort--as He uses every moment of what you endure to open someone else's heart, mind and soul that what they never knew about or even rejected-is a TRUE LOVING GOD-that never gives up on His love and plans for You!! His love is unconditional... and thru all we face the only way to make it thru is by reaching for His hand of mercy and grace-giving us our billionth chance. And as He does that and our hearts our filled with joy-as we see Him work thru what we face that reaches out to others in dire need.
I've seen it happen in so many ways in all brain surgeries I've endured and many hospitalizations. My little girl was part of His plan--reaching out to a crying woman at Mayo Hospital. Asked what was wrong--finding out her husband would be passing in the next 24-48 hours from a staff infection. My daughter didn't talk about that--her first words with her hand on this lady was "Does your husband know Jesus Christ?" The lady stopped crying saying "I don't know" and turned around heading back to her husbands ICU to ask him.... an almost 5 year old can speak out comfortably about the true, intense need to accept Christ as our Savior--we go thru these to learn from our surroundings. From who touches us, plants a seed can make the most important change in our life. Never give up on your suffering or challenge--He just has amazing plans waiting to explode!!! As we reach for Him daily, thanking Him for His way we find Him... and learning to live out our suffering for HIS GLORY-forever AMEN!!
God bless you all. Suffering isn't a blast-but sure has comfort and purpose thru our Lord Jesus Christ. Reach out, talk to Him-but never doubt His Amazing Grace!
In His Love and Comfort,
Heather Siebens

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

Hebrews 11:1-2
What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. God gave His approval to people in days of old because of their faith.

James 1: 1-4

1 Peter 1: 8-9
You love Him even though you have never seen Him. Though you do not see Him, you TRUST Him; and even now you are happy with a glorious, inexpressible joy. Your reward for trusting Him will be the salvation of your souls.

1 Peter 4: 19
So if you are suffering  according to God's will, keep on doing what is right, and trust yourself to the God who made you, for He will never fail you.

HIS PLANS ALWAYS COME OUT AMAZING!!!
Add to GoogleHow many of us all love to hear those words... "Just keep the faith...." ? When things are flying by our eyes at a million miles an hour, a million dollar$ an hour, a million I LOVE YOU'S in a failing marriage per hour, a million prayers a minute for your child, parent or loved one who is going thru drastic surgery or just diagnosed with something only God can take away? We all have been thru one or more of these--and millions more and we ask "how can We stop this? No one can do a thing about this-it's all in my hands. Or I'm too weak to handle this, why would God ever allow this???
We've all been thru statements similar to that as well. Where whatever we are going thru has gotten so out of hand, that obviously God never paid any attention to your "express call" leaving every last decision, choice, statements, radical actions-everything we all feel, and more all up to just us. As for after a milion prayers-there was never one answer that you noticed. That is the key word-NOTICED. But the amazing part about our selfish timing and needs or wants-is that His plans are the amazing ones. His plans, as we trust Jesus WILL flow in PERFECT timing, and AMAZING outcome as we keep seeking Him, trusting Him, praying to Him, sharing His word in how He is working thru you thru your suffering. Because here is the catch, what you go thru has very little if sometimes nothing to do with you, except to keep your faith strong. It is to show others that miraculous faith God has blessed you with and you have grown as you have kept walking in the Word of God. My little daughter, at a very young age when I was in Mayo Hospital for my 2nd brain surgery-she and her dad were in the hall coming to see me; they came upon a woman in tears-and my daughter has this HUGE HEART for EVERYONE. Tory stops to ask the lady what was wrong-the ladies husband was going to die of staff infection in the next 48 hours....my Tory's words in reaction were; "Does he know Jesus as his Lord and Savior??"
Now I know I was in that hospital for my 2nd (out of 3) brain surgeries. And I was full of strong faith-had many church ladies come up to pray out loud with me. This grabbed awesome attention as well. I had a nurse hold my hand after my huge seizure and pray the surgery thru Christ was miraculous. Many nurses asked about my beautiful music and what I was reading. So me being there, surrounded by Christ-filled setting got many asking questions, some wanting to get back into their faith too. He has reasons for all hard times. It is a time for us to be strong during our weak point... but the only way to be able to do that, is to hold tightly onto Christ!!! Let Him lead you where He has plans. During all tragedy, even if you fall, get back on His shoulders.... HE will NEVER forsake you. Always carry you thru each storm, that has a beautiful silver lining--NOT TOO FAR AWAY!!! Trust me please.... I've gone thru these over and over now seeing each broad pictures for WHY's--all though there are many He knows, I won't until I see Him face to face one day. But life has been so much more beautiful as His child, loving Him, following Him-as opposed to when I would push away from that Jesus guy---all my life until I was 26 on deaths door. His plans are beautiful... and so forgiving. I could never ask for more-He is my Everything-and has given me more than everything in this beautiful life.
So if you are suffering right now--look at what He has given you, and think twice about anger toward Him. He gives us too much--and overflows with love. His suffering we can't ever compare to. His love is great, His majesty is beautiful, His promises are never to be broken.
Love to you all.... as I pray for you all.... going thru tough times. I greatly know them-but greatly know Christ's healing and love and plans---just AMAZING!!

In His Love,

Heather J Siebens

ALIVE

Add to GoogleALIVE
After this last brain surgery, and the city we were living in that worsened my illness the 3rd brain surgery caused... I never thought I would be anywhere close to being "ME" again.
The reason we choose BIG choices in life, that can have risks yet benefits, is to better one-self for not just themselves, but everyone in the family and around them. That was my hearts pure innocent choice in major prayers across our world for my 3rd brain surgery. I met people who came to pray prior, during, after- whom I never think I would have met, had it not been for this tragedy, continual tragedy for over two years. I am just beginning to cry tears (while thinking about so much and holding so many tears of joy, and past tragedy) as I am beginning to heal, see some of past Heather come back to LIFE, and see so much of a NEW Heather that has learned so much about life, love, tragedy, friends, family, life-when you really feel it is ending; but in fact, it is just the start of learning what God has in store for you to use with all the trials and tragedies that you DID live thru, even though you swore it was the end, that day, the next day- but no matter what, how you felt was dead already-so if someone was really looking for your death day, you could just tell them to choose between when all began and then because that was how I was. I was just dead. I had days I would seep up from my drowning, and try to be a branch of that Heather that used to be existing before that 3rd, AWAKE, last brain surgery took most of who Heather was-AWAY.
But during my extreme pain and suffering that was so severe, I really wondered if somewhere, during their cutting out amazing pieces of my dominant side of my brain, did they just get closer to future cancer? Talk about extreme pain-because with all the extreme pain medications that ONLY SEVERE CASES can be prescribed; and sadly no matter how high the highest doses and higher just to try to capture a day of comfort for me, would never be anywhere close to being "me." It would be whomever those extreme doses of dangerously STRONG PAIN medications made me. My mood was altered into a very introverted soul, angry, and unable to reach for a hand of love, from my precious hubby who did his all in all possible for this monster created. My poor brother-lived in every room I was in, just to make sure I was still breathing, alive, and if he could, make me laugh!!! I had a very large guard up around me. The brain surgery already caused so much severe body pain from my feet to my neck-so all guards up on being hurt emotionally anymore than having had to move all the way from AZ to PA.
It is amazing, as we decided to move back to AZ, to reach back to my great docs I have out here, reach out for warm weather to help lesson the pain. To reach out for our Church, our faith-filled friends, and all our family out here. It took about a week for my body to be able to tell a difference. After that warm weather set in; along with church, family and friends, my body was able to truly function again. Go out a whole day with a friend and our kids, and not be down for 10 days after. A bit tired after, but I have been doing a lot of walks to bring my strength ALIVE again!!!! Made me so joyful that I can walk for 3 miles again and not be down 3 weeks from just 30 feet, crying and screeching thru each wake up the meds would allow.
I slept a lot of Philly away. And that is sad. There is so much beauty there. I saw some of it. But my hubby is taking me back for a week to re-see everything I may have not REALLY in my heart snapped a beautiful photo, and placed it in my heart in a positive way to remember it by, not only some negative that illness may cause. So, we will again have more photos of Philly-but ones I really want and need in my heart, mind, soul in Christ's positive gift He has given me out here in AZ... and that is HEALING. And Healing with all my family, friends, docs, my life history that will close another chapter, soon, in such a positive way as I move onto a new step in my life.
I love How Christ works.... no notes written, sent to us with direct explanation on what His plans are, and how they will be altering our lives. No, He just KNOWS that as FOLLOWERS of CHRIST, thru all the attached time He had to add in, due to our free will and stubbornness; We WILL GRAB ONTO HIM-knowing He is WHY we are here, how we have such an awesome family, and how, thru all the muck, He still has amazing MORE plans as we grab onto Him during our storm!! And that is what I did. Watching every other illness enter on top of excruciating pain... it just really looked like the end-but He had that silver lining, SOMEWHERE!!
It was just the end to a very tragic multiple trials to me, and my family. We all go thru these... but never compare what Christ went thru for us. And that would be my constant reminder on my "stay afloat" days. He will walk over to me, on that raging water I am trying to stay afloat in-take me by shoulders, throwing me over the shoulders of His own as He carries me thru my storms. His whispers during them, when your focus is still on Him, and not a mess from what illness and Satan can do-His words are deep, amazing, comforting; all in ways that no one else can provide except Christ. He is filled with AMAZING WORDS and LOVE and ACTION in our lives when we continually seek Him, and look to Him every day as for what He has in store for us to do for Him.
I know I will lay my life for Christ.... And fills me up to say- YOUR Will Christ, Your Way-OUR WAY!!!  I belong to YOU yesterday, today, tomorrow, forevermore.... I belong to You Jesus-there is NO life APART from YOU..... only YOU revive me!!! I may not have a million US dollars... but I have YOU! YOU are the treasure I could never afford, yet You gave Yourself to me!!! Only YOU can truly satisfy....with out You, our water will never do a thing for us, with out you! But with YOU Our Well will never run dry... You will quench our thirst by Your Words!!
Had I kept gripping all this during my HUGE TRIAL, so much easier. But human Heather had to take the dry spell long walk.....and suffer to figure it all out. Thank You Jesus for all Your healing and help thru it all. You are a gift to me, I am striving to be a gift back. Cause my love for You Jesus, has grown beyond what I ever thought several months back. My love is to not ever just be between us, or us and family; it will always continue to grow-sharing my love for YOU will grow now, no longer my pain.... and I am so excited to start this journey with You sweet Jesus. I Love you, yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever and beyond when we are face to face! For that day is exciting!! Til then... continual healing, and praising to YOU!!!
I love You Christ Jesus, with my whole heart, mind, soul.... (it still thinks!!!)
Praise Be to You, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!
In Your Name I Cry for our Love Always & Forever-to spread across to others near and far, sharing our Love!!
I Cry for joy in all thru Christ,
Heather J Siebens

My baby girl to Big girl....

Princess and Mommy
I was never a "normal" mom... I was never the time out mom. I was never the great chef mom (as for I hate most food) ... nor was I ever the teasing mom. But I now know, thru my kiddos sparkling deep brown eyes, tender love, and arguments on who loves who more, that I was and still am a good mom.
I had and still have, 10+ roller-coasting years. I was hanging on so tight, I never thought I'd make it thru to the next day. But this sweet smiling princess, was gifted. She was the one person who would turn tears to diamonds, and crying to laughter, a bad day into one of the best ever. That is MY Tory. And I am blessed to have hung onto life, hung onto her, and taken her completely in fully, 100% my child. She and I were an amazing team, are yet still going to be the years to come.
I had a rough road from her birth on, as many blogs tell. From pregnancy my seizures excelled past numbers a day I couldn't count, and types I never had. Plus, my Alabama neurologist wasn't too on top of epilepsy and pregnancy and what is good for the patient, the baby and the aftermath. My Phenobarbital was at such a high dose I am not sure, other than the Grace of God, how Tory came out without birth-defects. She does have a very light case of childhood epilepsy, fully controlled-but that is passed down usually anyway.
My ex now, her ex dad she never saw as dad exited everything once he could make up his mind on what he wanted most in life. He tried exiting by hurtful actions like cheating, but coming back. But the end was his beating me. The fact that he beat me, sure really upset me. But my greater concern would be for my daughter, and actions like that happening to her. That doesn't happen under my roof, to my blood.
So it was my kiddo and me. I was not completely sane, that is for sure. When he beat me, it was 2 mos after my 1st brain surgery for my epilepsy. Tory was 1 when I had the 1st one. She was already then, such a caring, full hearted, loving child. I walked in the door with my head all wrapped and this poor baby, who missed her one parent ran to me then suddenly STOPPED!!!! Looking up at my wrapped head, asking in a one year old's way with gestures to see my "owie" ... she slowly and gently touched my wrapping. Then wrapped her arms around my knees for a BIG HUG. Her heart was already so overly loving-FILLED TO THE MAX... and I was just amazed how she was this way. Cause I was FAR from the best mom in this world. I did give her love, and I rocked her every night with a bottle of warm milk to two songs, and they weren't kiddie songs! I just didn't know those. I am a music fanatic and I had a ton I loved- so I shared my current favorites that were partially relaxing with Tory. I would, as the new nervous mom, program my cd player to play #3 and #4 on The Calling "Camino Palmero." Yes, today's music and no, not Christian music, cause at that point I hadn't found Christ.
After my ex beat me her song changed to Hero by Enrique Iglesias. For some reason, this adorable child just LOVED that song!!! I was under a lot of depression, and felt like I was drowning, and wasn't sure if I'd ever make it back to the surface. On some days, I hoped that. And that was scary. I turned to overdosing to numb the pain of my ex and the pain he caused. I wasn't sure if I could handle all this on my own. When I got back to Phoenix, AZ I was in the hospital several times for my overdoses. During those, I had found the church that I attend today and where I gave my life to Christ. I chose that one because it had a purple sign!!!! Tory wasn't quite 2 when we started to attend. It took me some time to begin to grasp the music there, and longer to talk to ONE soul. But little Tory took it by the reigns and took off, on fire-child-like love for Christ!! It is the most beautiful, blunt, face to face kind! Her 2nd wellness check-up just about caused a seizure in me. My little girl, just walks in, sees her doctor come in with smiles and she just said "did you know, that Jesus died on the Cross for you?????" Yes, to our middle-eastern doctor for her. I was ready to throw up. How do I iron this out to someone who is OBVIOUSLY not of that faith. He gave a sweet response and then moved on with the check up. He didn't throw us out or double charge us and not except Tricare, as my nervous not fully on fire for Jesus, personality JUST SHOWED ALL.
Tory has always been so understanding. Never questioning. I hit the hospital one huge time in October of 2003. And in wasn't a short stay. Not was it comfortable. I almost lost my life to overdosing a HUGE hidden amount of Phenobarbital that I just horded, in case one day hit really bad. And, to me it did. Just an argument about the beating between my ex and I on the phone. The next day I took it all. Partially in hopes to just "feel better..." a part of me that hoped if it accidentally did away with me, that a lot of people would have a lot less stress to deal with. I was wrong. My Tory really needed, and still needs me. And Jesus heard my cry before they pumped my stomach and I went into coma.
My 2nd brain surgery was a breeze. I believe Jesus wanted to show me what faith does do. It was performed at the beginning of my in depth, strong relationship with Christ. I got out on a Wednesday, went to Bible study that Thursday!!! Tory was so excited about that surgery, because for some time to follow, my seizures were controlled. And instead of others having to take her to preschool-MOMMY was the one who was able!!! Made her life!! Every day I would hear about it! I would get tears of joy!!!
I had quite a few hospitalizations come 2006. My health from particular antiseizure medications made me shrink down to 91 lbs and fall into grand mal seizures. We also went back onto Phenobarbital for my wedding, so I could make it down the aisle without seizing. And it did, but just a few months down came another tough day, and an overdose. That medication was just permanently off my market. It was a drug I would be addicted to forever. So I had to move on to find different seizure control. And we tried everything under the sun. We moved onto a 3rd brain surgery in 2010. I am just now healing from that one.
That surgery was amazing. It was done awake. I could tell them if my sight was going. But it never dawned on me to tell them my body was hurting. And it more than hurt, excruciating pain for over two years after the surgery. And as for seizure control... I won't know until we get the pain medication out of me.

Living in Philadelphia was very tough on my pain. My pain needed HOT baths. Not freezing cold snow. But, as a mom, in my pain I still went out and built a couple of snowmen/girls with my Tory. I couldn't imagine not doing that. But there was so much I missed out on from that excruciating pain, and my heart hurts from that. But this little girl would always come home and tell me how she loves me, then we'd go back and forth about who loves the other more!!!! And just laugh!!! She just has such a heart that is outside of today's children. When picked on, she just doesn't understand them. Literally. She is just, thru Christ-in a different category than the normal child her age. Many that want to pick, or throw things, or cuss for once or ever, or bully, blows her mind away. And it isn't cause I sit her down every day with lessons as a good child. I've been too ill. I've just prayed. And this is just a God thing.
My kid, if she is picked on, bullied against, laughed at- may she take hold. Realize that God has plans for her. And the reason we are all ever here, is because of HIM!!! Otherwise, we could all turn to dust... for that is all we are on this little planet to our BIG GOD!!! But to Him... His love is overflowing, and never-ending and we get waaaaay more than just 2nd chances. May none of you ever forget that!!!
Her dad today is an amazing one. I was her dad for years. And, now, today as I am getting better health-wise, I can look back and say thank you Jesus, I truly think I hung onto you tight and did an ok job!!! And Christ did a miracle because this little girl, is a miracle.
May all you parents single, moms, dads, married, all--- go love up your kiddos. They are the most precious gifts from Jesus.

In our Love for Christ,

Mommy and Tory

Psalm 19:4
May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
   be pleasing to you,
O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Psalm 24: 7-9
   Open up, ancient gates!
      Open up, ancient doors,
and let the King of glory enter.
Who is the King of glory?
      The LORD, strong and mighty;
      the LORD, invincible in battle.
   Open up, ancient gates!
      Open up, ancient doors,
and let the King of glory enter.

Psalm 33: 13-15
The LORD looks down from heaven
and sees the whole human race.
  From his throne he observes
all who live on the earth.
  He made their hearts,
so he understands everything they do.

Psalm 139: 13-18
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
   Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.
      They cannot be numbered!
  I can’t even count them;
they outnumber the grains of sand!
   And when I wake up,
      you are still with me!

This song absolutely applies to almost my whole life. From my childhood on. It just grips my heart and I pour tears of joy every time I hear or play it willingly!! My brother, God bless him, even pulled over to let me wipe the tears and calm down as we were picking up Tory.  A BIG AMEN to Tory Jensen, my brother.... this month is his birthday, yes... but also one year after he gave his life to Christ!!! NOW THAT IS A BIG AMEN!!!! Now we pray for our parents!!!!

Precious Hubby

My Humble Hotty

For all that know who my Hotty is, you know why I can make a video or write to talk about and express the love of this man-from this man-to this man, Christian Siebens. My soul mate. My husband thru thick and thin. This picture was used to show you, we can smile even in the non-glamourous times-with all praise to our Lord, Jesus Christ for blessing us with each other.

He is a very different man. Very humble. Quiet until the conversation gets rolling and it is a subject of his. Most kind soul ever who places his whole life in the middle of our family to be able to circulate, watch and make sure everything and everyone is ok. And when things are rocky in my health department, he takes care of it one way or another.

We are far from perfect. The last two years have been tough with me extremely ill, and him, with his dream but very tough job-very draining. So we had to set up a whole new plan for 2012. This man, for us, for me-my health and lack of good doctors in Philly-confronted his boss and told him we HAD to return to Phoenix, for his wife's health, his sanity. My kidney is going to have to be taken out sooner than later, and I want that done by my professional doctor who cares at Mayo Hospital in Phoenix. The weather out there was making my body pain that came from my 3rd brain surgery SO MUCH WORSE. We needed warmth. I was living in hot baths-sometimes though in so much pain, I couldn't get out on my own. I am only 35.

This man was placed before me by a dear friend I met back in 1998--who I looked up to cause that gentleman had the perfect life, perfect marriage. Years I asked him how-cause my 1st one wasn't it. Were blessed with my daughter Tory-who is now Christian's daughter too. But my ex and I never meshed, just fought. After all the scars from him-began my search for the answer to life-Jesus Christ. I knew Christian knew about Him-I wanted to learn more.

He is how we are still a "we" today. With a fire that blazes for each other. No matter the obstacle we know Christ will get us thru-as we grow tighter to HIM!! He made a perfect man for me-who I couldn't possibly love anymore than I do now!! Forever and ever AMEN!!

We all have a plan out there--don't spit your fire out... wait for that someone or something He has planned to have it blazing!! Love is forever-more!!

This is for him... dear Christian. I oddly did not pick a Christian song tonight-it is Alanis right to the point on LOVE and how the other accepts all flaws of the other half... with that I have many!!

I love you Christian!!!

The song is not a Christian song, but it has words and meaning that are just so true in my life--with all I go thru medically, surely puts enough weight on my precious hubbies back to want to tumble over--but HE IS MY EVERYTHING HERE!!! I am blessed!

Colossians 3:12-14
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

I love you, forever-more Christian Siebens.

Love in Christ,

Heather
